    Sammanfattning : Denna empiriska studie syftar till att fastställa skillnaden mellan den privata och offentliga sektorn när det gäller anställdas uppfattning om kompetensutveckling och hur dess påverkan på lärande skiljer sig åt.  En kvantitativ metod användes där analysen grundar sig på 44 enkätsvar och dessa har kopplats till forskning kring kompetensutveckling och lärande för att dra ytterligare slutsatser.
