  1. 1. Varför är den relativa fitnessen högre för hanar av Drosophila melanogaster som bär allel A2 jämfört med allel A1 på genen CG3598? : Experimentell studie på bakomliggande faktorer till skillnad i fitness hos hanar med olika allel varianter på gen CG3598

    Kandidat-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Avdelningen för biologi

    Sammanfattning : Sexual conflict is a term that describes the situation where traits can experience opposing selection pressures in the two sexes. Theory suggests this conflict exists in all organisms with separate sexes, and specific chromosome clusters which are possibly sexually antagonistic have been identified in the species Drosophila melanogaster. 2. 2. Fekunditet hos honor av Drosophila melanogaster med en potentiell sexuellt antagonistisk gen : En fördjupande studie inom experimentell validering av en potentiell sexuellt antagonistisk gen hos Drosophila melanogaster

    Kandidat-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Institutionen för miljö- och livsvetenskaper (from 2013)

    Författare :Sara Lindh; [2022]
    Nyckelord :sexual antagonism; sexual conflicts; fruitflies; drosophila melanogaster; drosophila; GWAS; antagonistic sexual selection; fecundity; intralocus sexual conflict; reproductive fitness; sexuell konflikt; sexuella konflikter; drosophila melanogaster; drosophila; bananflugor; sexuell antagonism; fekunditet;

    Sammanfattning : Sexual conflicts arise when there is a difference in how females and males of a species or population achieve their maximum reproductive fitness. In intralocus sexual conflicts, alleles at a given locus are exposed to conflicting, or antagonistic, selection pressures. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Investigating the evolutionary consequences of sexual conflict through pollen and pistil traits in several Collinsia heterophylla (Plantaginaceae) populations

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Examensarbeten i biologi

    Författare :Evan Hersh; [2012]
    Nyckelord :Biology and Life Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Abstract Sexual selection is considered to be one of the most important processes influencing the evolution and diversification of species. Sexual conflict, a subset of sexual selection theory, describes how opposing interests in the male and female reproductive systems can lead to one sex increasing its fitness at a cost to the other sex.
