  1. 1. Life Cycle Assessment : a comparison of fossil energy use and climate impact on small scale manufacturing and large scale conventional manufacturing of textile toys

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, SLU/Dept. of Energy and Technology

    Författare :Malin Henriksen; [2024]
    Nyckelord :textile toy; LCA; energy use; sustainable production; China; Sri Lanka; cotton production; fossil fuel use; GWP100;

    Sammanfattning : This study conducts a Life Cycle Assessment to compare the environmental impacts, specifically climate impact and fossil fuel use, of textile toys produced in China and Sri Lanka. Through evaluating large-scale industrial production in China against small-scale, handcrafted production in Sri Lanka, it identifies the considerable environmental footprint of cotton production in both scenarios. 2. 2. Towards Water Resource Recovery Facilities : Environmentally Extended Techno-Economic Assessment of Emerging Sewage Sludge Management Technologies in Sweden

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Harry Tibbetts; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Circular Economy; Waste Valorisation; Systems Analysis; LCA; MFA; EFA; TEA; Hydrothermal Carbonisation; Cirkulär ekonomi; Waste Valorisation; Systems Analysis; LCA; MFA; EFA; TEA; Hydrotermal Carbonization;

    Sammanfattning : Municipal sewage sludge (MSS) management varies widely between countries and legislative regimes. Within the European directive for sewage treatment France applies over half of MSS to arable land, while The Netherlands has banned the practice (Kelessidis et al, 2012). LÄS MER

  3. 3. Life cycle assessment of metal laser powder bed fusion : A deep dive into the significance of system boundary expansion and improvement potential

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Industriell miljöteknik

    Författare :Christian Rotter; Erik Fagerberg; [2023]
    Nyckelord :additive manufacturing; life cycle assessment; powder bed fusion; system boundaries; metal laser powder bed fusion; environmental impact; global warming potential;

    Sammanfattning : Metal additive manufacturing (MAM) is a manufacturing technology experiencing a rapid expansion rate. Metal laser powder bed fusion (ML-PBF) is among the most popular techniques in this field. The environmental implications of it are often discussed in literature and compared to conventional manufacturing. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Status Mapping of tank to grave management of Low-GWP refrigerants.

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Sandra Parra Gimeno; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Refrigerant; Blends; Synthetic low-GWP refrigerant; Natural refrigerant; Global Warming Potential GWP ; Tank-to-grave; Interviews.; Köldmedier; Blandning; Globalt uppvärmningspotential GWP ; Låg-GWP köldmedier; Naturligt köldmedier; installation till destruktion; Intervjuer.;

    Sammanfattning : Refrigeration plays a vital role today in various residential, commercial, and industrial processes, requiring refrigerants to facilitate the cooling or heating processes. Over time, refrigerants have undergone significant changes to meet technological, social, environmental, and economic needs. LÄS MER
