KUNSKAP VIA UNDERHÅLLNING : En kvalitativ undersökning av verksamheten på vetenskapliga center

Detta är en Kandidat-uppsats från Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för studier av samhällsutveckling och kultur

Sammanfattning: Through the advent of new media, new ways of communicating knowledge are also growing. Alternative instruments for education.Recently there have been medial arenas, in the form of scientific museums and centers. Public places for visits to study and entertainment purposes, where knowledge is presented through more attractive forms than text only. There are already many scientific articles that discuss medial arenas of this kind. How they act as tools for learning and how to make the most of such interactive places, as visitors. But how do media producers work in such arenas? What is their own understanding of the activities they conduct and how do they work to communicate knowledge to a larger public? What value does the science center have for science? And what is the meaning of scientific communication in general? In this survey, I use interviews with involved people, to get an understanding of their ways of looking at, and communicating, knowledge. For those who read this essay in interest for surveys and studies based on interviews, I recommend skipping to chapter 5: Theoretical perspective and method. If your greatest interest in this essay lies with scientific centers and visual communication, the relevant parts starts on the next page. In chapter 1 and 4 I explain the basic, and already common, facts on this kind of visual media, before I go into the survey I myself have performed with relevant people, in chapter 6 and forward.
