Sammanfattning: Internet and smartphones have made pornography easily accessible to young people. This study aimed to examine in which ways adolescents, teachers, and counselors think that watching pornography can have an impact on adolescents. The study also investigated whether viewing frequency and discussions about pornography during sex education lessons at school can influence youths' attitudes toward pornography. The survey reports findings from 114 young people aged 18 and three group interviews with teachers and counselors. A big majority of youths that took part in the survey watch or have watched pornography, often at an early age, and believe that what can be seen online can influence real life. Viewing frequency and discussion about pornography during sex education have an impact on attitudes towards pornography. The adolescents reported that the actors' bodies and genitals in pornographic material are misrepresentative as they portray the ideal. Youths seem to believe that watching pornographic material can contribute to social standards and have an impact on how you choose to have sex in real life if you find learning from pornography and get inspired from it. The qualitative interviews revealed that youths are very interested in sex education and that a lot of youths already have knowledge about sex before they have sex education. According to the teachers and counselors that were interviewed, this knowledge comes from social media and pornographic material. They also express that pornography sets standards that are impossible for the youths to reach.
