Sammanfattning: This bachelor's project in architecture constitute of a proposal for a new elementary school in Trollbäcken, a calm villa suburb in southern Stockholm.  The gradation in the landscape between different types of scales and spacialities dominates the image of the site and has been one of the main themes when it comes to designing the buildings. The ideas of variation in teaching, being the second main theme of the proposal, is something that is being supported by the Swedish National Agency for Education. Less contemporary school buildings in Sweden are not designed bearing that in mind, therefore many schools lack possibility to practise variation in teaching. The learning rooms in the proposal are suitable for different types of activities, and can easily be changed into rooms for group work, theatre activities, quiet reading, discussions e.t.c. In summary, this elementary school in Trollbäcken is the result of combining site analysis and ideas about education into a entirety.
