1. Reconstruction of Radio Detector Data using Graph Neural Networks
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/HögenergifysikSammanfattning : The current neutrino detectors have been able to detect neutrinos in the range of TeV to 100 PeV, however, ultra high energy (UHE) neutrinos above 100 PeV still remain to be detected. A new neutrino detector, the RNO-G, is currently being constructed in Greenland with the purpose of detecting the first UHE neutrinos using radio antennas capable of measuring the Askaryan pulse generated after a neutrino interaction with the ice molecules. 2. Monitoring of Partial Discharges on Cable Terminations : An experimental approach to evaluate non-conventional online PD measurement techniques
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : The transmission of electric power over long distances has historically posed challenges. However, the advent of high-voltage engineering has not only addressed distance barriers and power losses in electricity transmission and distribution, but it has also significantly improved the efficiency and transmission capacity of power grids. 3. Transverse Momentum Spectra in pp collisions (\sqrt{s}\) = 7 TeV and \(\sqrt{s}\) = 13 TeV in ALICE
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysikSammanfattning : In this project particle production as a function of transverse momentum (\(p_{\rm T}\)) in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy (\(\sqrt{s}\)) of 7 TeV and 13 TeV has been studied. The transverse momentum is interesting to study since it reflects momentum created in the collision (before the collision, all momentum is in the beam - going in a longitudinal direction) and therefore gives information on the collision dynamics. 4. Determining backgrounds with misidentified leptons in the ATLAS Higgs boson analysis
Master-uppsats, KTH/FysikSammanfattning : This thesis presents an analysis of misidentified leptons in the Higgs boson decaychannel H → W W ∗ → lνlν. Misidentified leptons, resulting from jets misidentifiedas leptons, mimic the signal of a Higgs boson decay, resulting in a backgroundcontribution to the signal. LÄS MER
5. Trigger-Level Multiple Electron Event Classification with LDMX using Artificial Neural Networks
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : Artificial neural networks is a powerful tool for classifying and identifying patterns in large amounts of data. One of the possible tasks of these networks is classification of data into categories. LÄS MER
