  1. 1. Nocturnal moths use of novel habitats : a case study on a power line in a forest-mire mosaic in boreal Sweden

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Wildlife, Fish and Environmental Studies

    Nyckelord :pollinators; Lepidoptera; moth; transmission line; assemblage structure; Noctuoidea; Geometridae;

    Sammanfattning : Biodiversity and pollinators are declining all over the world, and a factor thought to cause this decline is destruction of natural habitats. One new way that has been discussed in an effort to try to mitigate the effects of declining habitats is to understand and use novel habitats, which are habitats created when, for example, building roads, railways, and power lines. 3. 3. Detection of tobacco rattle tobravirus and potato mop-top pomovirus in Swedish soil samples by the use of different bait plants and analysis by ELISA and biotest.

    Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Plant Protection Biology

    Författare :Patrick Sjöberg; [2006]
    Nyckelord :tobacco rattle tobravirus; potato mop-top pomovirus; ELISA; biotest; bait plants;

    Sammanfattning : Tobacco rattle tobravirus (TRV) and potato mop-top pomovirus (PMTV) are two known viruses in Sweden which impair the quality of potato tubers by causing spraing. This experiment aimed at finding the best bait plants (plants that is susceptible to infection) for acquiring virus particles from soil, and to analyse the acquired viruses by both ELISA and biotest.
