16. The geochemical status of the surface water and the sediments in the estuary of the Sangis River, Kalix, Sweden
Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för samhällsbyggnad och naturresurserSammanfattning : It has been common in forestry and agriculture to drain waterlogged areas through ditching in order to cultivate them. The ditches that drain water are usually connected to some watercourse, such as a river. LÄS MER
17. Changes in Gishwati-Mukura Forest and effects on biodiversity, floods, and landslides - recommendations for sustainable forest management
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresursläraSammanfattning : Rainforests are of great importance for biodiversity and several ecosystem services. In Rwanda, a considerable decline in rainforest covers have been observed during the last decades. The Gishwati-Mukura Forest is one of the rainforests in Rwanda that has experienced a substantial reduction in forest cover, 99.4 %. LÄS MER
18. Fjärilar i bärnsten och det eviga flickskapet : om flickvinnans omöjliga åldrande och skeva begär hos Sara Stridsberg
Master-uppsats, Södertörns högskola/GenusvetenskapSammanfattning : The aim of this study is to address how “skevt” [skewed] girlhood is constructed in relation to age, time, and sexuality in three literary works of the Swedish author Sara Stridsberg: the novel Darling River (2010), the play Konsten att falla (2017) and the short story Tre systrar (2021). In the study, I pose the following questions: How is the skewed girlhood portrayed in relation to constructions of time and age? How does the construction of skewed femininity interact with the construction of sexual practice and sexual desires? I use the term “skev” – a Scandinavian variation and hybrid of queer – to address how the girlhood is subverted in the texts, as well as to analyze how this not only occurs in relation to heteronormativity, but also within it. 19. Comparison of Particle Tracking and ADCP Including Construction of the Rating Curve at Islandsfallet
Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaperSammanfattning : The objective of this study is to compare Large-Scale Particle Image Velocimetry (LSPIV) to conventional methods for measuring discharge. Furthermore, to use the discharge data to create a rating curve at Islandsfallet in Uppsala. To measure discharge, on-site measurements have conventionally been done. LÄS MER
20. Computing Equivalent hydropower models in Sweden using inflow clustering
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : To simulate a hydropower system, one can use what is known as a Detailed model. However, due to the complexity of river systems, this is often a computationally heavy task. Equivalent models, which aim to reproduce the result of a Detailed model, are used to significantly reduce the computation time for these simulations. LÄS MER
