    Sammanfattning : To simulate a hydropower system, one can use what is known as a Detailed model. However, due to the complexity of river systems, this is often a computationally heavy task. Equivalent models, which aim to reproduce the result of a Detailed model, are used to significantly reduce the computation time for these simulations. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this essay is to explore the ethical competence of middle school students in Sweden with the purpose of finding out what factors affect their ethical development. To do so, material from a pedagogical research project called EthiCo has been obtained, where students in year five have answered a survey containing examples of ethically challenging situations.     Sammanfattning : In this thesis the eigenmodes and eigenvalues of three dimensional structures are analyzed using the Python environment FEniCS in combination with an implementation of the Arnoldi method in MATLAB for calculation of eigenpairs. This is done by considering separable solutions of the wave equation and subsequently expressing these as the solutions to an eigenvalue problem. LÄS MER
