Sammanfattning: Abstract Title: Employee engagement – A qualitative analysis of indicators that effects employee engagement. Level: Final assignment for Bachelor degree in Business Adminastration   Author: Daniel Sjöholm and Maria Åkerström Supervisor: Tomas Källquist and Pär Vilhelmson Date: 2020 – januari Aim: The aim of the study is to increase the understanding how employee engagement can be affected between leader and coworker based on non-financial indicators. Method: This study was conducted from a social constructivist view, and the research has an inductive process and a qualitative method. The empirical data was collected from dividing leader and coworker. An analysis was made using thematic analysis. Conclusion: The study showed that the indicator which the study is based on, is useful and can affect the KPI for employee engagement. Interaction is important for increasing the employee engagement and a presumption for the interaction can work is that there is a dialog between the leader and coworker. Suggestion for future research: This study is limited to studying a knowledge company. To get another point of view additional research could be done in a first in line producing company, this would contribute to broaden the research of employee engagement.    Contribution of the thesis: this study has contributed to increase the understanding how employee engagement can be affected between coworkers and leaders. From our view, it’s been stated that the indicators are of interest to leaders and coworkers in an organization. This study also confirmed that the difficulties of finding one single indicator that could affect employee engagement on its own.   Key words: Employee engagement, indicators, KPI, key indicators
