Källkritikens många möjliga former : En kvalitativ undersökning kring källkritikens ställning i dagens doktorsavhandlingar i historia

Sammanfattning: The aim of this essay was to establish the possible roll of source criticism in doctoral thesis in history. To answer this aim, a qualitative perspective has been adopted. Along with a textual analysis, motivated in the adopted intent. The material that was selected to be analyzed were doctoral theses in history, from 2017. They were ;”Reglerad Sprängkraft” by Josefin Sabo, ”Flaskor på löpande ” by Gunnel Holmér, ”Acceptans eller utstötning” by Robert Eckeryd, ”Toleransens gränser” by Johannes Ljungberg and ”Löfte, Tvist och Försoning” by August Aronsson. The result was sorted after the research questions and what appeared, was that source criticism tend to adapt different forms, motivated in the studied the subject. This essay cannot answer if a certain approach about source criticism is possible to establish, as the subject itself is a product of influences from other disciplines. The position of source criticism, the use of source criticism concept and usages of methods is depending on the historian´s own view on their own commitment.
