  1. 11. Dendrokronologisk undersökning av Quercus sp. och Pinus sylvestris i nationalparken Blå Jungfrun

    Kandidat-uppsats, Linnéuniversitetet/Institutionen för skog och träteknik (SOT)

    Författare :Jesper Haraldsson; [2019]
    Nyckelord :dendrochronology; P.sylvestris; Q.sp; nationalpark; Blå jungfru; Windendro; trends; climate; national forest inventory; human interference; increment;

    Sammanfattning : This study involved a dendrochronological examination of oak (Qeurcus.sp) and Scots pine (Pinus.sylvestris) in the nationalpark Blå Jungfrun, by measuring annual ringwidth data from tree-cores from the island, data from the national forest inventory and climatedata from the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI). 2. 12. 3D vegetation structure influence on boreal forest bird species richness

    Författare :Emil Larsson; [2017]
    Nyckelord :birds; species richness; vegetation structure; Lidar; laser data; bird point census count; Bird National Monitoring Program;

    Sammanfattning : Bird populations across the world are in danger with decreasing numbers and more species continually becoming red-listed. One main driver behind this trend is human-caused habitat loss and degeneration, which in particular has been identified as a major threat in forested regions. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Markfysikaliska och kemiska egenskaper i integrerad monitoring områden i förhållande till Sverige nationellt

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, SLU/Dept. of Soil and Environment

    Nyckelord :IM; BioSoil; luftföroreningar; markinvertering; skogsmark;

    Sammanfattning : Woodland makes up more than two thirds of Sweden’s land area. Forests are of great value for the environment, the Swedish economy and recreational activities. Air pollutants from manmade activities have a negative effect on the wellbeing of forests. Several programs have been created to counteract the impact air pollutants have on forests. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Forests are key providers of terrestrial ecosystem services such as climate regulation, water purification, natural pest control, habitats for biodiversity, as well as different forms of wood based materials and food. Nevertheless forests are dangerously exposed to great pressures from various kinds of societal activities. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Sustainable Forests? : values, perceptions and expectations among three stakeholder groups in the light of the Swedish bioeconomy transition

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Biosystems and Technology (from 130101)

    Författare :Tove Stenius; [2017]
    Nyckelord :forest bioeconomy; reindeer herding; sustainability; resilience; National Forest Program; diversity; land-use; rural planning;

    Sammanfattning : This research investigates different perspectives on the current forest bioeconomy investments in the north of Sweden. The research takes its stance from a broad definition of the concept of diversity, transecting both social and natural science, in its attempts to answer the thesis question: What suggested changes in forestry and forest governance follow from different visions of the bioeconomy transition, and what impacts do these have on aspects of diversity in the north of Sweden? The research is conducted in the light of the National Forest Program, which is currently being developed for the government through a series of working group processes, where a transition from a dependency on fossil fuel towards bioeconomy is highlighted as one of the driving motives behind the program.
