21. Assessing annual forest phenology: a comparison of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and phenocamera datasets
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskapSammanfattning : Near-surface remote sensing platforms such as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and phenocameras appear to be potential platforms for keeping track of seasonal dynamics at a local scale. This research focusses on extracting time series of different vegetation indices (VIs) from both platforms, computing seasonality events from them and comparing the results against spectral sensor data. 22. Assessment of the Contribution of Groundwater Flow and Surface Flow from Bolmsö Island to Lake Bolmen, Sweden
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Teknisk geologi; Lunds universitet/Väg- och vattenbyggnad (CI)Sammanfattning : The increase of brownification in surface waters has been a problem for rivers and lakes from the northern hemisphere. The main factors of this water brownification are the increase of dissolved organic matter and iron in water bodies. LÄS MER
23. Forecast-based Financing within the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement: Persisting barriers and ways forward
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Riskhantering och SamhällssäkerhetSammanfattning : With the introduction of Forecast-based Financing (FbF) in 2013, the ability and incentive to do early action based on forecasting has increased over the last couple of years. In this study eleven semi-structured interviews were conducted with FbF practitioners of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (RCRC) Movement with the purpose of shedding light on challenges and opportunities associated with the approach. 24. Friluftsliv och naturvård i konflikt och samverkan
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Miljövetenskaplig utbildningSammanfattning : Nature conservation and outdoor recreation are commonly set as dual goals for the protection of nature areas. However often compatible, they do not always go together. A literature review of related conflicts and risks found that high recreational use can lead to long lasting impacts possibly affecting the whole ecosystem. LÄS MER
25. Knowledge and Data Driven Approaches for Hydrocarbon Microseepage Characterizations: An Application of Satellite Remote Sensing
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskapSammanfattning : Methane is a potent greenhouse gas that plays a major role in climate change. Significant uncertainty exists in the estimates of emissions from natural methane sources. This uncertainty in data is one of the primary scientific challenges in climate model. LÄS MER
