1. Investigating the dynamics between the developing Nordic hydrogen market and the electricity system under uncertainty
Master-uppsats, KTH/EnergiteknikSammanfattning : The potential of hydrogen as a clean energy carrier is hotly debated, but it promises to significantly contribute to a sustainable energy future. Hydrogen can replace fossil fuels in carbon-intensive industries, heavy transport and aviation, and support a renewable energysystem by acting as energy storage to balance intermittent supply. 2.
3. Fano Resonances in Time-Dependent Wells
L3-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/MaterialteoriSammanfattning : Floquet’s theorem, a temporal analogue of Bloch’s theorem, is used for studying a time-dependent potential. With applications in cold atoms on optical lattices, quantum dots and more, there is a growing interest in Floquet engineering exotic materials and phases. LÄS MER
4. Deep Neural Networks as SurrogateModels for Fuel Performance Codes
Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Tillämpad kärnfysikSammanfattning : The core component of a nuclear power plant is the reactor and the fuel rods that supply it with fission fuel. Efficient and safe energy extraction is thus highly dependent on the reactor design and the conditions of the fuel rods. To anticipate high-quality operation and potential risks in advance, one must perform simulations on the fuel rods. LÄS MER
5. The effect of disorder on the axial anomaly in a lattice model in 1 + 1 dimensions
Master-uppsats, KTH/FysikSammanfattning : This work investigates the effect of a disorder potential, that represents impurities/dislocations in the lattice, on the time-dependent signature of the axial anomaly in a one-band tight-binding model in one spatial dimension. The tight-binding model is solved numerically and the simulation results are compared with a semiclassical expression for the time-dependent axial density, n5(t), due to Nielsen and Ninomiya [1].
