11. Green hydrogen from offshore wind in southern Sweden : Case study on 500MW offshore wind farm
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : Variable renewable energy and green hydrogen demand is expected to increase within the European union in attempts to mitigate climate change. A high penetration of variable renewable energy can result in volatile power prices affecting the profitability of such actors. LÄS MER
12. Cannibalization of Renewable Energy in Spain: Market Implications and Mitigation Strategies through CArbon Pricing and Gurarantess of Origin
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)Sammanfattning : Renewable cannibalization refers to the phenomenon where the increasing penetration of zeromarginal cost renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power, leads to a decline in their market value. By extension, this threatens to reduce investment incentives in wind and solar. LÄS MER
13. Using a GIS to enable an economic, land use and energy output comparison between small wind powered turbines and large-scale wind farms: the case of Oslo, Norway.
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskapSammanfattning : Responding to an identified knowledge gap, the study aims to determine if smaller wind turbines located on top of existing urban buildings are more resource efficient (land utilization and economically) than large scale wind farms. To answer this question, using a GIS, the resource efficiency of the Roan wind farm in Northern Norway was compared to a theoretical modeled installation of small-scale wind turbines on top of buildings within a 2km radius study zone in central Oslo. 14. Microgrid in George Washington, Cuba
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)Sammanfattning : Cuba has vast natural resources for domestic renewable energy generation, but their energy mix is heavily dominated by fossil fuels. This contributes to a high dependence on expensive oil imports and has led to significant generation shortfalls, which in turn has resulted in extensive power outages and serious fuel crises. LÄS MER
15. Analysis of Microgrid Electrification on Phaluai Island : A Minor Field Study in Thailand
Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)Sammanfattning : Similar to numerous other nations, Thailand aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 by reducing reliance on fossil fuels and increasing the amount of renewable energy sources in electricity generation. The objective of the Thai Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) is to ensure electricity access for all Thai households and villages. LÄS MER
