Human Digital Shadow : A Conceptual Model for Quantifying Wheel Loader Operator’s Behaviors

Detta är en Master-uppsats från KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

Sammanfattning: Digital Twin has been a trendy topic for half a century in the engineering field but has recently been criticized for its potential infeasibility. To approach the physical-virtual dual-connection goal, Digital Shadow has been prompted to organize the data into a virtual version for driving insights and supporting decision-making. In this thesis, a case study about human-centered digital shadow development was conducted in a wheel loader operator’s behavior analysis context. Specifically, a conceptual model was proposed for stakeholders to better understand wheel loader operators’ behaviors. In particular, we tested the model’s user expectations and confidence with two focus groups with a conceptual dashboard design based on this information model. According to the remarks from the user questionnaire, we found that our participants demonstrated higher expectations regarding operators’ performance assessment metrics in the model. Meanwhile, participants’ feedback proved an expectation of subjective emotion measurements and biometrics in the model for strengthening the human factors. Foremost, the thesis work provides the potential and contributes lessons regarding realizing a conceptual information model with the wheel loader sensory data into a dashboard for different human behavior analysis goals.
