Sammanfattning: Different models of the solids-liquid separation in an activated sludge system are presented. The influence from the solids-liquid separator on the biological activities in the aeration tank is examined. The dynamics of the different separator models is discussed. Two simple control strategies for sludge removal has been tried out.
