Sammanfattning: The purpose of this thesis is to examine how Sweden Democrats depicts the woman and analyzes if they use the woman to legitimize their policies. I do this by reconstructing the dominant narrative while striving to analyze how they legitimize the image of her and if they use her to legitimize their policies. The material that I use is the Sweden Democrats 'Principles Program (2011), the Swedish Democrats' action program to increase women's security in everyday life (2014) and Jimmie Åkesson's Almedal's speech from 2014 and 2016. To investigate the production of the woman of the Sweden Democrats, so I use Nira Yuval-Davis (1997) and Maud Eduards (2007) theoretical discussion of women's position in the national project. To investigate whether the Sweden Democrats use the woman to legitimize their policies, I use Theo van Leeuween's legitimacy theory (2017) and Margaret Canova's (2005) argument about populism. The woman is represented as the natural mother - she has a role that is foster and cultural mediating; and through this role gets the carrier of the collective. She is actively placed in opposition to sexuality, masculinity and with what is foreign.
