    Sammanfattning : Denna uppsats undersöker processer av kulturarvisering och minnesskapande i tillblivelseprocessen av en nationell minnesvård beställd av staten. Med utgångspunkt i Ernesto Laclau och Chantal Mouffes diskursteori undersöks om tillblivelseprocessen av Gravitational Ripples – minnesvården efter flodvågskatastrofen i Sydostasien 2004 – och dess placering i nationalstadsparken är del i ett försök att tillskriva tsunamikatastrofen som nationellt kulturarv.
