  1. 6. Data-driven Dynamic Baseline Calibration Method for Gas Sensors

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Cheng Yang; [2021]
    Nyckelord :CO2 gas sensing; drift; dynamic baseline calibration; time series analysis; data-driven modeling; clustering; classification; CO2 gasavkänning; drift; dynamisk baslinjekalibrering; tidsserieanalys; datadriven modellering; kluster; klassificering;

    Sammanfattning : Automatic Baseline Correction is the state-of-the-art calibration method of non-dispersive infrared CO2 sensing, which is the standard CO2 gas monitoring method. In this thesis, we improve it by introducing the dynamic baseline based on environmental data. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Optimisation of line of sight matching to obtain wind vectors from the SIW satellite

    Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för system- och rymdteknik

    Författare :Theresia Hestad; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Remote sensing; Wind measurements; Middle atmosphere; Retrieval; Scan bias; Satellite;

    Sammanfattning : SIW, Stratospheric Inferred Winds, is one of the upcoming Swedish research satellites, aiming to study the winds in the middle atmosphere by measuring the Doppler shifts in molecules such as O3 with a limb viewing sub-mm spectrometer. By conducting simulations on the expected observations, the pointing sensitivity requirement of the satellite was investigated to be able to optimise the matching of the wind vectors. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Towards the detection of single photons in the mid-infrared

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Tillämpad fysik

    Författare :Bruno Lopez; [2021]
    Nyckelord :mid-infrared; single-photon; superconducting; nanowire; nanotechnology; quantum technologies; imaging; mitten av infraröd; enfoton; supraledande; nanotråd; nanoteknik; kvantteknologi; avbildning;

    Sammanfattning : In this project, the fabrication of single-photon detectors based on superconducting nanowires is presented, with great focus on extending their operation range to the mid infrared. In particular, Niobium Titanium Nitride (NbTiN) and Molybdenum Silicide (MoSi), superconducting materials with different properties, are presented, studied and used as fabrication platforms. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Simulating microwave single scattering properties of melting ice particles: a preparation to extend the ARTS database

    Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för system- och rymdteknik

    Författare :Andreas Teodorsson; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Melting ice particles; microwaves; ARTS; single scattering properties; RimeCraft; ADDA; Smältande ispartiklar; mikrovågor; ARTS; spridningsegenskaper; RimeCraft; ADDA;

    Sammanfattning : Ice particles in the atmosphere affect for example remote sensing measurements made for climate and atmospheric research. When these ice particles melt their single scattering properties alters, which in turn affect the remote sensing measurements. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Knowledge and Data Driven Approaches for Hydrocarbon Microseepage Characterizations: An Application of Satellite Remote Sensing

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Ali Al Farid; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Geography; Geographical Information Systems; Hydrocarbon Microseepage; PCA; Crosta; Band Ratio; MTMF; Weight of Evidence; SVM; Methane Fluxes; Remote Sensing; Satellite Image Classification; Earth Observation; Mineral Classifications; Machine Learning; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Methane is a potent greenhouse gas that plays a major role in climate change. Significant uncertainty exists in the estimates of emissions from natural methane sources. This uncertainty in data is one of the primary scientific challenges in climate model. LÄS MER
