Radikal högerpopulism : En jämförande idéanalys över SD, UKIP och AFD

Detta är en Kandidat-uppsats från Lunds universitet/Statsvetenskapliga institutionen

Sammanfattning: In this thesis I suggest a definition on what right-wing populism is by comparing three right-wing populist parties; the Swedish Democrats (SD) in Sweden, the United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) in Great Britain and the Alternative for Germany (AFD) in Germany. This is my question formulation. I have used the idea analysis to make the concept of right-wing populism more understandable. The objective of this thesis is to make a definition of the concept of right-wing populism, since it would be interesting to found out what kind of principles they have that attract people. I begin by discussing the theories about right-wing populism by Cas Mudde and see what conclusions he made. The analysis will be divided in three parts, one part for every party. Each analysis will look at three areas that I have chosen in the parties views on democracy, the people and immigration. In the conclusion I compare the three parties with each other and find a definition of rightwing populism. My suggested definition is that a rightwing populist party supports more direct democracy, wants to protect their countrys culture from inteference from other cultures and wants to limit immigration to the country.
