Att jämföra anknytningsstilar- med ett kvantitativt självskattningsformulär

Sammanfattning: The aim of this study was to examine if there is a co-variation between attachment styles towards a parental figure and towards a partner. To investigate this, we used a quantitative self-assessment questionnaire, the Revised Adult Attachment Scale (RAAS) (1996). We wanted to investigate if such a questionnaire can measure something as complex as attachment. With a quantitative method based on the Attachment Theory, RAAS, and systems theory, we wanted to answer the following questions: how does one’s attachment style towards a parental figure appears to be? How does one’s attachment style towards a partner appears to be? What co- variation exists between one's attachment style towards one's parental figure and one's partner? How can one reason about self-assessment forms regarding attachment? We reached out to students at Lund University with an online survey. Our results showed a co-variation between those who had a disorganized attachment style toward their parental figures and toward their partners. The rest of our results were inconclusive due to a lack of respondents. The conclusion made about the self-assessment questionnaire is that our way of using it did not appear successful.
