Sammanfattning: This study investigates Swedish secondary and upper secondary school teachers' knowledge and attitudes with respect to implementing self-assessment activities in teaching of Spanish as a foreign language. The purpose of the study has been to get an overview of the state of the implementation of self-assessment in Swedish schools. In order to achieve this objective, a survey method has been used. The results of this study, like the findings of previous studies, indicate that there is a deficiency in the implementation of self-assessment in teaching. Additionally, the results suggest some possible explanations for this deficiency. However, in order to be able to draw a definite conclusion regarding the matter, more detailed information and further studies would be needed.
