1. Characterization methodology to assess the mechanical properties of delignified birch/PMMA transparent wood biocomposites
2. Product Development and Finite Element Analysis of Polyurethane Press Shoe : Produktutveckling och finit element analys av press-sko i polyuretan
Master-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Fakulteten för hälsa, natur- och teknikvetenskap (from 2013)Sammanfattning : The press-section of a paper machine holds several different types of press rolls. One of the many press roll variants is the Valmet produced press roll, ViscoNip. This press roll utilizes an extended nip in order to increase the amount of water removed. LÄS MER
3. Performance of reinforced concrete bridges strengthened with Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymers : Case study: Essinge Bridge over Pampaslänken
Master-uppsats, KTH/Bro- och stålbyggnad; KTH/Jord- och bergmekanikSammanfattning : This master thesis deals with the performance of existing reinforced concrete bridges strengthened with externally bonded carbon fibre reinforced polymers (CFRP). One of the main aims of this work is to understand the functionality of such an external strengthening method applied to a concave surface in a heavy concrete structure such as a bridge. LÄS MER
4. Numerical Assessment of Defects Effect on Boltless Composites Longitudinal Joints
Master-uppsats, KTH/LättkonstruktionerSammanfattning : The work presented in this thesis focuses on the numerical assessment of defects effect on potential boltless design for fuselage panels longitudinal joints, typically identified as High Load Transfer (HLT) configuration. Nowadays, the state-of-art joining technique for primary aircraft composite structures, such as fuselage barrels, is still mechanical fastening. LÄS MER
5. Design of bi-adhesive joint for optimal strength
Magister-uppsats, Högskolan i Skövde/Institutionen för ingenjörsvetenskapSammanfattning : To support the trust in the design development of adhesively bonded joints, it is important to precisely predict their mechanical failure load. A numerical simulation model with a two-dimensional linear elastic cohesive zone model using a combination of a soft and a stiff adhesive is developed to optimize the strength of a lap-joint. LÄS MER
