  1. 1. The effects of sweeteners on the intestinal microbiota among individuals with eating disorders

    Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry

    Författare :Nellie Nyd; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Microbiota; sweeteners; eating disorders; bulimia nervosa; binge-eating disorder; anorexia nervosa; depression; psychopathology; bacteria; microbes; archaeon;

    Sammanfattning : In today's society, the number of people who fall ill with various eating disorders is growing at a furious pace, the queues for treatment are getting longer at the same time as younger people are affected. In addition, it is a common phenomenon with ineffective treatments, where setbacks and relapses are common. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Production of 5-ketogluconic acid using recombinant strains of Gluconobacter oxydans

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Bioteknik (CI); Lunds universitet/Bioteknik (master)

    Författare :Aakash Reddy Murugadasan; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Gluconobacter oxydans; Escherichia coli; 5-Keto-D-gluconic acid; Alcohol dehydrogenase; Biotechnology; Biology and Life Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : 5-Keto-D-gluconic acid (5-KGA) is a valuable compound that has a wide range of applications in the chemical and food industries and is commonly used as a precursor for manufacturing tartaric acid (TA). Industrial production of 5-KGA through chemical approaches was practiced in the early 1920’s and was dropped immediately due to several drawbacks because of its complicated process that resulted in lower 5-KGA yield and higher accumulation of impure gluconic acid. 3. 3. SUSTAINABLE LUBRICATION FOR FUTURE TRANSMISSIONS : Micropitting performance of Glycerol-based lubricants

    Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskap och matematik

    Författare :Zapata Tamayo Juan Guillermo; [2021]
    Nyckelord :micropitting; mild sliding wear; surface coating; diamond-like carbon DLC; glycerol-based lubrication; green lubricant; rolling contact fatigue; rolling-sliding;

    Sammanfattning : Achieving sustainable lubrication by using environmentally friendly formulated lubricants has became an essential component of the transition process from fossil-powered vehicles to electrified transportation. Mixtures, or aqueous solutions of molecules such as polyhydroxy alcohols, and glycols usually known as green lubricants make it possible to achieve low friction coefficients under different lubrication conditions, which constitutes a potential alternative to improve the tribological performance of moving parts in automotive systems, at the same time that the environmental requirements are satisfied. 4. 4. Conversion of CO2 to higher alcohols

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Industriell miljö- och processteknik

    Författare :Joshua Higby; [2020]
    Nyckelord :CO2 hydrogenation; higher alcohols; modelling; process intensification;

    Sammanfattning : I rapporten framgår det en termodynamisk analys för reverse water gas shift med att sammanmata etanol för att undvika det långsammaste steget i reaktionen för att producera högre alkoholer. Ifrån ett termodynamiskt perspektiv, verkar det möjligt att utgå ifrån reverse water gas shift för att producera högre alkoholer vid 100 bar med en temperatur på 300C . LÄS MER

  5. 5. Influence of Nucleation Techniques on the Degree of Supercooling and Duration of Crystallization for Sugar Alcohol as Phase Change Material : Investigation on erythritol-based additiveenhanced Composites

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Energiteknik

    Författare :JiaCheng Lin; HaoRan Teng; [2019]
    Nyckelord :Phase Change Material; Latent Thermal Energy Storage; Temperature-history; Sugar Alcohols; Supercooling; Duration of crystallization; Crystallization; Solidification; Fasändringsmaterial; Latent Termisk Energilagring; T-history; Sockeralkoholer; Underkylning; Varaktighet av kristallisering; Kristallisering; Stelning;

    Sammanfattning : Utilizing Phase Change Materials (PCM) for Latent Thermal Energy Storage (LTES) applications have previously been extensively researched as a measure to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from energy consumption. In order to make use of the waste heat from industrial processes for LTES purposes, a new demand emerged for PCMs capable of phase change in mid-temperature ranges of 100 °C - 200 °C. LÄS MER
