    Sammanfattning : With the growing number of migrants, could a populist migrant party succeed in Sweden just like the party Denk in the Netherlands? By applying Akkermans populism scale and the immigrant hypothesis this study strives to begin to answer this question by looking into one of the country’s largest migrant populations: Arab-Swedes. Through a survey (N=333) three aspects are measured (1) How populist are Arab-Swedes? (2) How is their populism expressed? (3) Is there a vacuum in Swedish politics that these attitudes can fill? This study finds that Arab-Swedes are indeed more populist than the average Swedish population, but less than the average eastern and southern European. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : What can explain the radical right party voting of citizens that have emigrated abroad? Results from the 2014 SOM survey of Swedish expatriates show that 7% of the expatriate population voted for the radical right party of Sweden – the Sweden Democrats. The research area of radical right party support is substantial, and there have been numerous studies presenting explanations to why individuals vote for radical right parties. LÄS MER

Building on findings of previous research and the funnel of causality, a set of variables consisting of anti-immigration views and socio-economic factors are examined to determine their causal effect on the support for the Sweden Democrats among the non-native swedish population.     Sammanfattning : Internationally recognized for and culturally self-identifying as a gender equality advocate, Sweden has seen a recent uptick in popular support among women voters for its far-right nationalist political party, the Sweden Democrats (SD). While nationalist movements are primarily distinguished by their nativist political rhetoric, academic study has consistently shown that nationalism also consistently promotes a traditional gender duality while denouncing feminism and gender equality practices.
