  1. 1. Starshades: Geoengineering Solutions and Technosignatures in Direct Imaging Phase Curves

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Astrofysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :Claudia Skoglund; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Starshades; extraterrestrial intelligence; stellar evolution; technosignatures; phase curves; direct imaging; habitable zone.; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : The stellar luminosity increases as a star evolves which inevitably yields a higher temperature on planets in orbit around the star. It is reasonable to assume that intelligent civilizations would tackle this issue through installing artificial structures that can alter the radiation received by the planet. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Vem förföljer kaninen? : En designstudie där barnen experimenterar med det fysikaliska fenomenet ljus och skugga

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på grundnivå, Karlstads universitet

    Författare :Tatjana Lühring; [2023]
    Nyckelord :phenomenon of light and shadow; variation theory; teaching design; experiments; fenomen ljus och skugga; variationsteori; undervisningsdesign; experiment;

    Sammanfattning : Abstract The study is based on teaching design grounded in variation theory, and aims to develop knowledge about how teaching about physical phenomenon of light and shadow can be designed in an exploratory way to develop childrens`s science learning. A total of six children aged four to five were inkluded in the study. LÄS MER

  3. 3. The ecological impact of artificial light at night in landscape architecture : strategies and guidelines for street lights for the benefit of biodiversity and local wildlife

    Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Urban and Rural Development

    Författare :Zozan Altun; [2023]
    Nyckelord :light pollution; artificial light at night; ecology; biodiversity; local wildlife; landscape architecture; guidelines; strategies;

    Sammanfattning : Artificial light at night (ALAN) is an increasingly common form of light pollution that contributes to biodiversity loss, loss of dark habitats, disrupting populations both on an individual- and population level by invading biodiversity hot spots. Recent studies show that artificial light is increasing at a rate of approximately 6% annually over Earth’s surface, and 88% of Europe and 47% of the United States experience light pollution on a nightly basis.     Nyckelord :Bio-Carbon Capture and Storage Bio-CCS ; Carbon Capture and Storage CCS ; Carbon Capture and Utilisation CCU ; Carbon Dioxide CO2 ; Climate Change; Climate Policy; Costs regarding Carbon Capture and Storage; Direct Air Capture DAC ; Geological Storage; Greenhouse Gas es GHG ; Policy regarding Carbon Capture and Storage; Bio-Carbon Capture and Storage Bio-CCS ; Carbon Capture and Storage CCS ; Carbon Capture and Utilisation CCU ; Koldioxid CO2 ; Klimatförändring; Klimatpolitik; Kostnad för Carbon Capture and Storage; Direct Air Capture DAC ; Geologisk lagring; Växthusgas er ; Reglering för Carbon Capture and Storage;

    Sammanfattning : The Paris Agreement aims to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius, and Sweden has set a goal toreach net-zero emissions by 2045. Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is one method that can reducecarbon dioxide emissions. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Utformning av cykeltrafikytor i signalreglerade korsningar : För ökad framkomlighet och trafiksäkerhet för cykeltrafiken i nordiska förhållanden

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Transportplanering

    Författare :Aleksi Kinnunen; [2022]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Detta examensarbete avser att undersöka utformningslösningar för trafikljusstyrda korsningar utifrån cykeltrafikens perspektiv. Frågeställningen är att utreda vilka utformningselement kan observeras ha önskad effekt på cyklisters beteende vid signalkorsningar. LÄS MER
