Sammanfattning: Considering the current energy and climate crisis, it is important to examine how the impact on these can be managed and reduced within the building sector. One of the objectives of this study is to analyze the impact of several typical thermal bridges for a single-family house on the energy use and show how these vary depending on the choice of framing system. The framing systems studied are CLT, lightweight concrete and wooden stud walls. The other objective is to calculate the climate impact of these three different framing systems and compare it to the energy use. The results showed that the CLT house had the lowest energy use as the designed connections have the least thermal bridge percentages and therefore the lowest energy losses. The climate impact of CLT was also the smallest as the chosen materials have the least impact compared to the other two framing systems. The framing choice with the highest energy use and climate impact was lightweight concrete house.
