Sammanfattning: This thesis is a qualitative study based on six interviews with professionals in different disability functions within The Swedish Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS). The purpose of this study is to see how the functions within LSS work with sexuality and to what extent the staff at the facilities have the opportunity to support the users in their sexuality and intimate relationships. Two out of the interviewees have high positions and supervise a number of different facilities, the other four are staff at functions including group homes, short-term homes such as summer camps, and centers that offer daytime activities. The idea behind this study comes from LSS-act and the fact that it does not state anything regarding sexuality, however, the law does say that a person with disabilities has the right to the amount of care and support needed to attain good living conditions. LSS also states that the individual has the right self-determination and the right to live like everyone else. The study analyzes the factors that the law states through Foucault’s theories about power dynamics and normalization, with the purpose of ascertaining what it looks like in practice, with a focus on sexuality.  The empirical material indicates that there is an effort within some LSS-facilities to work with questions concerning the users sexuality. Despite the effort, sexuality is not a priority topic for the vast majority of the facilities. The interviewees admit that sexuality should be a more discussed subject and explain that there are many obstacles that make it difficult to handle these types of matters.
