Halmstad Arena - En brandteknisk riskvärdering av hall D

Sammanfattning: This work evaluates the personal safety in case of a fire in Halmstad Arena hall D, an ice rink which is also used for exhibitions during the summer. Simulations and calculations were performed on possible design fires based on information given by an on-site visit and given design drawings. Solutions were discussed and conclusions drawn to increase the maximum number of people allowed in the building, opening up for the possibility of arranging larger expos and exhibitions in the premises. Three design fires were considered more plausible and with bigger consequences. These are fire in ice resurfacers, fire in expo showcase and fire in storage room. The results from this work show that 1200 people can perform a safe evacuation without implementing any additional structural fire safety measures, though subject to some minor measures such as guiding markings on the exhibition floor.
