6. Spectroscopic analysis of exoplanet atmospheres : Ground-based high-resolution atmospheric characterization of hot Jupiters using near infrared spectroscopy
Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för fysik och astronomiSammanfattning : This report is exploring the possibility of characterizing hot Jupiter atmospheres using ground-based high-resolution spectroscopy. The ESO CRIRES infrared spectrometer is selected as the observing tool. Simulated observations are computed for known transiting systems. LÄS MER
7. Secular oscillations and Kozai cycles in planetary systems
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Astronomi - Genomgår omorganisation; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för astronomi och teoretisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisationSammanfattning : The origin of the class of exoplanets typically referred to as hot Jupiters is to this day an unsettled matter. Some of the proposed formation channels predict certain values of the spin-orbit misalignment parameter, i.e. the angle between the stellar rotation axis, and the angular momentum vector of the planet orbit. 8. Noise sources in the electric field antenna on the ESA JUICE satellite
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå,Sammanfattning : The noise in the Langmuir Probe and Plasma Wave Instrument (LP-PWI) on board ESA:s future Jupiter satellite JUICE (Jupiter ICy Moons Explorer) was investigated. Thermal Johnson-Nyquist noise and shot noise, caused by fluctuations in the probe-plasma currents, were combined with the quasi-thermal noise (QTN) due to thermal fluctuations in the electric field in the plasma, using a small signal equivalent circuit model.
