Sammanfattning: The goal of this thesis was to make it easier for the maintenance staff at Profilgruppen to replace old frequency converters that communicate via ControlNet with modern ones that communicate via EtherNet/IP. This has been done by producing a manual that contains instructions for all important steps in a systematic order. These instructions have been written after a few drives were replaced, to be as accurate as possible. The thesis work resulted in a manual that fulfills the goal of the project, preparations for the replacement of twenty-one frequency converters and the installation of eight new frequency converters. The preparations consist of parameter files and PLC programs for the control for all inverters.
