  1. 1. Kan intag av brunalger sänka LDL-kolesterolet? En systematisk översiktsartikel om brunalgers effekt på LDL-kolesterol hos vuxna med dyslipidemi

    Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för medicin

    Författare :Julia Gröning; Jessica Lindh; [2024-02-09]
    Nyckelord :Brown algae; seaweed; seaweed; macro algae; dyslipidemia; LDL cholesterol; Brunalger; tång; makroalger; dyslipidemi; LDL-kolesterol;

    Sammanfattning : Syfte: Syftet med den systematiska översiktsartikeln var att undersöka det vetenskapliga underlaget kring huruvida ett intag av brunalger kan påverka LDL-kolesterol hos vuxna med dyslipidemi Metod: Litteraturinsamlingen gjordes genom sökningar i databaserna Scopus och PubMed fram till den 23 januari 2023. Sökningarna gjordes i block om tre där sökblock ett riktade sig mot alger, sökblock två mot dyslipidemi och sökblock tre mot RCT. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Feeding brown algae and brown algae extracts from Saccharina Latissima to Broiler breeders : effects on transfer of antibodies and nutrients from hen to egg

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Animal Nutrition and Management

    Författare :Stina Kling; [2021]
    Nyckelord :broiler; broiler breeder; brown algae; Saccharina Latissima; laminarin; prebiotic; transfer; antibodies; nutrients; iodine; chicken; egg quality;

    Sammanfattning : Brown algae and extracts of algae have been proved to have prebiotic effects. Seaweeds grow very fast and underwater. This is good from a sustainable point of view since algae do not need fertilizers, freshwater or agricultural land for growth. Brown algae is rich in nutrients, vitamins and minerals, and has an especially high content of iodine. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Seaweed as a future food : a nutritional perspective with focus on seaweed aquaculture in Scandinavia

  4. 4. Compilation of Life Cycle Assessments of Cultivated Brown Seaweed : A recalculation of Life Cycle Inventories

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Ellen Ahlgren; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Environmental impact; recalculated inventories; production system; global warming potential; freshwater eutrophication; marine eutrophication;

    Sammanfattning : Seaweed production systems are necessary to fill a product demand in multiple sectors whilst contributing to the bioeconomy. The multiple seaweed qualities drive the research for sustainable seaweed production worldwide. The main studies of seaweed production consist of life cycle assessments, where cradle-to-gate analyses have been calculated. LÄS MER
