   Sammanfattning : This study implies a survey of a somewhat unexplored Cambrian carbonate formation in the Argentine Precordillera (AP) located in western Argentina, close to the city of San José de Jáchal. The carbonate platform of the AP is a unique piece of the South American geology and is in this study partly surveyed and compared with the Stephen Formation of northern Canada, a middle Cambrian unit renowned for its contents of exceptionally well preserved soft bodied fossils named the Burgess Shale biota.    Sammanfattning : During the Devonian, 377 Ma ago, the Earth was impacted by a large celestial body, striking ground in the Siljan area in Dalarna, Sweden. The impact created what is today the largest confirmed impact structure in western Europe. Since its formation, the structure has however been heavily eroded, leaving no trace of the original crater.    Sammanfattning : The only relatively undisturbed Ordovician to Middle Devonian sequence in the Bohemian Massif is preserved in the central parts of the Prague Basin. This part stretches c. 35 km from Prague in the north towards Zelkovice in the southwest.
