1. MANGO - Generating 2D-Magnetic Field Maps From Normal-Conducting Magnets Of Experimental Areas
Master-uppsats, KTH/FysikSammanfattning : This thesis discusses the development of MANGO, a tool created to model normal-conducting magnets which were installed in the 1970s in the experimental areas at CERN, and store their analysis. MANGO formulates an answer to two problems faced by the physicists of the Beam Department when they model a beam line: first, how to produce new magnetic field maps and, second, how to easily access existing ones? It contains a multi-use package that offers an automated process to produce magnetic field maps from finite-element models of magnets. LÄS MER
2. Evaluation of Physics Informed Neural Networks in engineering simple structural analysis problems
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för informationsteknologiSammanfattning : Neural Networks have found many applications for a long time in Machine Learning in different disciplines, and have especially flourished in the last decade because of the ever-increasing processing power especially from GPUs. Because of their ability to operate as universal function approximators and model nonlinear processes, attempts have been made in recent years to be also used for modeling partial differential equation (PDE) solutions. 3. Constructing Subalgebras of K[x] Using the Minimal Polynomial
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Matematik LTHSammanfattning : In this report we will be working with subalgebras A of finite codimension in K[x]. It is known that such subalgebras can be expressed using a set of linear conditions evaluated at a finite set of points called the spectrum elements of A. LÄS MER
4. Bedömning av prediktiv förmåga för Finita Elementberäkningar med optisk töjningsmätning (DIC)
Kandidat-uppsats, Högskolan i Borås/Akademin för textil, teknik och ekonomiSammanfattning : The goal of this thesis is to improve the predictive capability of Finite element (FE) by gathering data from experimental test and implement the characteristics into the material model that is used. FE is a commonly used method to predict the mechanical behavior of materials and components during applied forces. LÄS MER
5. Approximating Damping Coefficient of Bolted Joints using the Finite Element Method
Master-uppsats, KTH/HållfasthetsläraSammanfattning : Bolted joints are important due to their energy dissipation property in structures, but the damping mechanism is also highly nonlinear and localized. The goal ofthis thesis is to develop an accurate method for modeling bolted joint dampingin large structures using finite element (FE) software. LÄS MER
