  1. 1. Effect of dietary flavonoids on hepatic CYP2E1 and 3A4 activity : implication for food-drug interactions

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Food Science

    Författare :Johanna Östlund; [2017]
    Nyckelord :cytochrome P450; CYP2E1; CYP3A4; flavonoids; quercetin; myricetin; isorhamnetin; food-drug interactions;

    Sammanfattning : Flavonoids are a group of phytochemicals ubiquitously present in vegetables, fruits, berries and herbs. It is suggested that they contribute to protection against several lifestyle diseases including cancer. LÄS MER

  2. 2. In vitro inhibition of CYP1A and CYP3A by phenolic compounds from bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus), in male and female porcine liver microsomes

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Food Science

    Författare :Felicia Woll; [2015]
    Nyckelord :Cytokrom P450; CYP1A; CYP3A; blåbär Vaccinium myrtillus ; läkemedelsinteraktioner; Myricetin; Isorhamnetin; Quercetin;

    Sammanfattning : Bilberry fruit (Vaccinium myrtillus) is a rich source of bioactive compounds, including flavonols and phenolic acids. At least some of these compounds were shown to be metabo-lized in the liver by cytochrome P450 (CYP450) enzyme system, which is also important in the metabolism of pharmaceuticals. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Development of quantitative methods for the determination of vemurafenib and its metabolites in human plasma

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Kemi; Linköpings universitet/Tekniska högskolan

    Författare :Malin Strömqvist; [2014]
    Nyckelord :BRAFV600E; HPLC; Human Liver Microsomes; LC-MS MS; Melanoma; Metabolites; Vemurafenib;

    Sammanfattning : Vemurafenib is a potent serine/threonine kinase inhibitor and is registered as Zelboraf® for the treatment of metastatic melanomas harboring BRAFV600E mutations. There is a large individual variation in drug response and the side effects observed among patients treated with Zelboraf® has proven to be severe. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Development of an assay for screening drug candidates for mechanism-based inhibition of human CYP3A4

    Master-uppsats, Institutionen för livsvetenskaper

    Författare :Maria Khihon Rokhas; [2008]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Cytochrome P450 (CYP) constitutes a superfamily of heme- containing enzymes that catalyze the oxidative biotransformation of structurally diverse xenobiotics including pharmaceuticals and drugs. Cytochrome P450 3A4 is not only the most abundant isoform in human liver but is also responsible for metabolizing approximately 60% of therapeutic drugs. LÄS MER
