1. Glauber Monte Carlo for proton-proton and virtual-photon-proton collisions
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Teoretisk partikelfysik - Geonomgår omorganisationSammanfattning : In high energy physics, we want to probe the inner structures and behaviours of the particles that are the building blocks of our universe. This is often done by colliding nuclei together. LÄS MER
2. Probing Charm Production with Three-Particle Correlations in pp Collisions
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysikSammanfattning : This thesis aims to investigate possible correlations between charm production and baryon production in proton-proton collisions through three-particle correlations. The question attempted to be answered is where, for a given charmed baryon, the balancing anti-charm particle and balancing anti-baryon are located. LÄS MER
3. Non-Diffractive Nuclear Excitations In Angantyr
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Teoretisk partikelfysik - Geonomgår omorganisationSammanfattning : To better understand collectivity in high energy physics, the heavy-ion collision model Angantyr was developed to be included in the event generator Pythia. In this model, proton-proton collision phenomenology is extrapolated to heavy-ion collisions without assuming a thermal plasma for particle production. LÄS MER
4. Long-Lived Particles from exotic Higgs decays at the FCC-ee
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/HögenergifysikSammanfattning : This thesis presents the first sensitivity analysis for exotic Higgs boson decays at the electron-positron stage of the Future Circular Collider (FCC-ee) within the FCCAnalyses framework. The project studies the production of a Higgs boson in association with a Z boson in electron-positron collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 240 GeV, with the Higgs boson decaying into two long-lived scalars and the Z boson decaying leptonically. 5. Forward-Backward Multiplicity Correlations for Proton-Proton Collisions with ALICE at LHC-CERN
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : This thesis presents the study of two-particle pseudorapidity correlations in pp-collisions at √s = 13 TeV using the ALICE detector at LHC, CERN. The correlation function was calculated as a function of multiplicity and was repeated for several multiplicity classes and different charge combinations in the forward-backward and central regions of the detector, respectively.
