Mediante un estudio comparativo basado en la lingüística cognitiva y la teoría de la metáfora conceptual, junto con algunas teorías sobre la metáfora en el discurso político, se destaca la importancia de las metáforas de personificación, guerra y viaje en los textos investigados, resaltando los diferentes modos de aplicarlas en los dos lados de la prensa.
