   Sammanfattning : Den gropkeramiska kulturen är förknippad med kustlandskap och ett osteologiskt material bestående av fisk och säl, men kulturen fanns också vid inlandets insjöar där fisk och bävern istället är framträdande i det osteologiska materialet. Vindförbergs udde är en av flera gropkeramiska inlandslokaler belägen i Dalarna, det som utmärker Vindförberg från andra omkringliggande lokaler är lokalens höga och branta placering i landskapet.
