   Sammanfattning : El presente estudio tiene como meta el investigar si existe correlación o no entre la motivación y la competencia comunicativa en un grupo de aprendices de inglés como lengua meta (LM), es decir, como segunda lengua (L2) del primero, segundo y tercer grado de la enseñanza secundaria mexicana, quienes cuentan con el español como primera lengua (L1).
