  1. 1. Leveraging CNN for Automated Peak Picking in Untargeted Metabolomics without Parameter Dependencies

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för data- och informationsteknik

    Författare :Vivian Wang; Lidia Yalew; [2023-10-19]
    Nyckelord :Deep learning; Convolutional neural network; LC-MS; Peak Detection; Metabolomics; Faster R-CNN;

    Sammanfattning : Metabolomics is a scientific discipline that involves the thorough analysis of small molecules, known as metabolites, found within a biological system. Furthermore, liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) is a commonly used analytical technique in metabolomics for analysing biological samples due to its broad coverage of the measurable metabolome. 2. 2. Digital OSH Technologies in Construction : Barriers and Facilitators

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Ergonomi

    Författare :Jessica Fagerlönn; [2023]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : There are few studies about testing and adopting new and emerging digital OSH technologies in the construction industry. This study aimed to investigate phenomena in organizations connected to emerging digital OSH technologies. This study had a qualitative and abductive reasoning approach. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Är vi inte i skolan för att lära oss? : En gymnasielärares reflektion kring kunskap, skönlitteratur och fronesis

    Magister-uppsats, Södertörns högskola/Centrum för praktisk kunskap

    Författare :Lisa Ljungh Strömberg; [2023]
    Nyckelord :fronesis; skönlitteratur; den hermeneutiska dimensionen av fronesis; bildning; tolkning; uppmärksamhet; kunskap;

    Sammanfattning : I den här vetenskapliga essän vid Centrum för praktisk kunskap har jag undersökt min känsla av kluvenhet och frustration i mitt yrke som gymnasielärare i svenska. Dessa känslor gestaltas i två möten med elever, ett möte med en klass då jag presenterar ett nytt romanprojekt och ett med eleven Lilly som inte hinner med att lära sig i sin egen takt, utan tvingas ta bort kurser för att orka med. 4. 4. Detection and quantification of post-translational modifications in non-invasive samples : Phosphoproteins as biomarkers and a market analysis of protein quantification technologies

    Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för biologisk grundutbildning

    Författare :Sammi Baudin; Hillevi Fjellström; Aron Kraft; Erica Lamberg; Måns Rosenbaum; Hanna Sjöstrand; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Phorphorylation; Proteomics; Biomarkers; Phosphoproteins; PTM; Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis; ALS; Alzheimer s disease; Parkinson s disease; Cancer; xMAP; SIMOA; NULISA; PEA; ELISA; Mass spectrometry; SomaScan;

    Sammanfattning : Post-translational modifications (PTMs) of proteins can be a sign and/or cause of disease. These modified proteins have the potential to be used as biomarkers for diagnostic purposes. However, research in the field is limited. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Increased carbon sequestration of actively restored tropical forests in Sabah, Malaysia : a comparison of natural regeneration and active restoration

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Forest Ecology and Management

    Författare :Johan Engström; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Degraded tropical forest; Active restoration; Carbon sequestration; Natural regeneration; Enrichment planting; Biomass accumulation;

    Sammanfattning : As restoration with assisted natural regeneration and enrichment planting becomes a more important and popular method to restore ecosystem services and mitigate negative climate effects, these treatments and their effectiveness is heavily debated. There are three main groups of opinions regarding restoration, one is that humans actively need to help nature recover and the second is that nature itself does a better job without our help and the third is somewhere in between.
