  1. 1. Characterisation of Non-metallic Inclusions in Special Steels using Electrolytic Extraction

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Materialvetenskap

    Författare :Josefin Mvele Svensson; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Non-metallic inclusions; electrolytic extraction; SEM; Icke-metalliska inneslutningar; elektrolytisk extraktion; SEM;

    Sammanfattning : When producing high strength special steels strict requirements are in place to assure the quality of the final product, both in terms of harmful elements and  the  content  of  non-metallic  inclusions  (NMI).  Achieving  cleanliness  is a  gradual  process  where all  the  steps  of  the  production  process  are  inter- connected, meaning that it is crucial to know the influence of each step in order to assure the contents of the final product. 2. 2. Glauber Monte Carlo for proton-proton and virtual-photon-proton collisions

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Teoretisk partikelfysik - Geonomgår omorganisation

    Författare :Oscar Sepp; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : In high energy physics, we want to probe the inner structures and behaviours of the particles that are the building blocks of our universe. This is often done by colliding nuclei together. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Shape depiction using Local Light Alignment : Evaluating the shape enhancement capabilities of the Local Light Alignment technique at multiple scales

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Edvard Ahlsén; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Shape depiction; Non-photorealistic rendering; Shading; Multiple scales; Formskildring; ickerealistisk rendering; skuggning; skalrymdsmetoder;

    Sammanfattning : Local Light Alignment is a new shading based technique in the field of shape depiction, a field which concerns itself with techniques to represent and enhance the three-dimensional (3D) shape of objects in two-dimensional (2D) visual media. The main idea of Local Light Alignment is to locally adjust the incoming direction of light to create contrast in a way that enhances the perception of shape and surface detail. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Exploring New Physics Through Collider and Gravitational Wave Measurements with Artificial Neural Networks: the Case Study of QCD-like Technicolor

    Magister-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Teoretisk partikelfysik - Geonomgår omorganisation

    Författare :Ashar Ahmed Kamal; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Artificial Neural Networks; ANN; Beyond the Standard Model; BSM; parameter space scan; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : With physicists actively exploring Beyond the Standard Model (BSM) theories that may fill in the gaps of the Standard Model (SM), a fundamental question arises: which parameters hold physical significance? In this thesis, we present our initial progress towards the development of a model-independent artificial intelligence framework designed for conducting parameter space scans in BSM scenarios. Our framework incorporates several publicly available high-energy physics packages, namely SPheno, HiggsBounds, HiggsSignals, and CosmoTransitions. LÄS MER

  5. 5. "Husum behöver vara komplett" : En studie om vad som är viktigt i ett centrum, och vad det är viktigt för

    Kandidat-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för geografi

    Författare :Jessica Boman; [2023]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : A town centre is a public place that should be safe and accessible to everyone to become attractive and socially sustainable. A centre should contain varied selections, places for varied activities at varied times, and for a diversity of people. LÄS MER
