Att verka som körledare - En kvalitativ undersökning om körledares yrkessituation

Sammanfattning: Title: Being a choir leader - a qualitative study on choir leaders' work field. This paper means to describe the early years in a choir leader’s work field and investigate if the choir conducting education is adequate for the intended assignment of being a choir leader. The study also means to find out if choir leaders are in need of further education of choir leading. The study is based on four qualitative interviews with choir leaders and the results show that it is easy to get an employment in a choir, although the income from it does not add up to a full time profession. After working a few years, the choir leaders develop confidence in leading choirs. The respondents criticise the methodical choir lessons held at the academy for not being individually adjusted and emphasize the importance of having an internship in a choir.
