Sammanfattning: ABSTRACT Holmqvist Evans, K. & Koch, J. 2018. Kundflödesförändringar hos verksamheter till följd av infrastrukturella omplaceringar. Fallet: Rörstrandsgatan. Kulturgeografiska institutionen, Uppsatser, Uppsala universitet.  This thesis is written through the department of social and economic geography at Uppsala University. It aims to investigate how traders experience that the number of customers visiting their businesses is affected due to an infrastructural change resulting in the relocation of a nearby target point. It also aims to study what factors underlie this impact. The study is based on theories that explain how people’s movements, and the spatial conditions, create opportunities for activities of different kinds. The street Rörstrandsgatan located in Stockholm and the nearby commuter train station is used as the case study to investigate this topic. The methods used include a survey, an interview and a mapping of Rörstrandsgatan and the nearby area. The study shows that the majority of businesses had a loss of customers due to the change in infrastructure. The reason for this loss was found to be the increased distance to the train station and because of businesses being passage points rather than final destinations for the customers. Some businesses did not suffer a loss of customers after the infrastructure change. This was found to be because the businesses offered products or services that were unique of its kind or the business relied primarily on local regular customers.
