Sammanfattning: This bachelor thesis investigates coworkers attitudes towards digitalization from the perspective of a single organization. Based on data collected, this study has explored digital transformation and attitudes towards change in organizations as well as various barriers towards digitalization and organizational change. This study has explored the challenges that an organization faces when a digital transformation is in play. Based on the data collected, various barriers that have affected the employees' experience and use of the intranet are discussed. The study uses a qualitative approach in the form of a case study methodology, containing both unstructured and semi-structured interviews as well as a basic survey in qualitative form. Data has been gathered regarding how the employees from the organization experience their intranet, as well as identifying which factors impact digitalization. Existing literature and data from multiple sources have been used to either support or rebut the data that this case study has produced. Furthermore, this study examines whether these identified factors can affect the organization's digitization. The results showed that the informants feel that the intranet is to some extent difficult to navigate, and that the digital maturity within the organization differs, which has led to signs of resistance appearing and a lack of involvement from the coworkers. In the discussion, it emerges that the intranet has encountered barriers such as resistance towards change and digital divides, and that a more user-centered intranet could reduce the resistance, as well as making the employees feel heard and meet their needs, which would result in an inner conviction that change is needed. Ultimately, recognizing how attitudes and which other factors play a significant role in how well a digital transformation has been undergone is discussed. The conclusion showed that the employees attitudes (or lack their of) have had an impact on the conditions whereas the digitalization was based upon, shown through the lack of use and establishment of the Intranet.
