Sammanfattning: Background: The nurse's experience of person-centered care of fragile elderly has many perspectives. Person-centered care is the heart of the nurse's nursing work, where a focus on the patient's participation and a holistic approach is necessary. Purpose: to map the nurse's experience of person-centered care in the care of fragile elderly. Method: a qualitative general literature study with a descriptive analysis of 10 articles. Result: Individualizing nursing was the goal for all nurses because all fragile elderly had specific and different nursing needs. It happened that the nurse ignored the patient's wishes because the nurse experienced a stressful work situation or because the nurse did not have knowledge in a person-centered approach. Conclusion: is that person-centered care is about the nurse understanding the patient from a holistic approach and having an understanding that person-centered care includes several perspectives such as interpersonal cooperation and participation.
