   Sammanfattning : This study aims to gain a broader view, within the frame of a comparative international perspective, of the relationship and dilemmas between the theoretical visions of the curriculum and their applicability in practice by mother tongue teachers within the current organizational structures and given resources. The research uses a qualitative and comparative method and semi-structured interviews of ten mother tongue teachers, five Chinese Mandarin and five Spanish, teaching Compulsory School level 7 to 9 in Sweden.    Sammanfattning : The aim of the study is to illuminate and clarify how educators with foreign backgrounds, pedagogical education and/or educational experience interpret the curriculum and how the curriculum is implemented at multicultural preschools. To visualize this, I ask the following questions: How do the educators experience the Swedish curriculum? What do the educators regard as multiculturalism based on the curriculum? What are the educators views concerning democracy based on the curriculum? What significance do the educators believe the verbal language has in their work?    Sammanfattning : Our scientific essay is based on two self- experienced dilemmas that deal with the difficulty as a pedagogue to be sufficient enough for the entire child-group when the individual’s needs are brought against the collectives needs in a preschool class. Even though we are aware that all children have the right to meet their needs, we struggle with the feeling that we are failing to include the children with behaviors that challenge when we at the same time feel that the group is always being overridden.
