  1. 6. Effect of training and feeding on saliva concentrations of cartilage oligomeric matrix protein neo-epitope (COMP664) and neuropeptide Substance P in horses

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Biomedical Sciences and Veterinary Public Health

    Författare :Ebba Arrhult; [2024]
    Nyckelord :osteoarthritis; horse; biomarker; saliva; exercise; training; feeding;

    Sammanfattning : Osteoarthritis (OA) is a low-grade inflammatory disease associated with subsequent lameness and chronic joint pain. Lameness caused by degenerative joint disorders is perceived as one of the most common clinical problems for the equine athlete, advocating the severity of OA as a welfare and clinical issue. 2. 7. The Role of Uni- and Multivariate Bias Adjustment Methods for Future Hydrological Projections and Subsequent Decision-Making

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Luft-, vatten- och landskapslära

    Författare :Anna Merle Liebenehm-Axmann; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Bias adjustment methods; future hydrological climate projections; statistical analysis; future streamflow analysis; biasjusteringsmetoder; framtida hydrologiska projektioner; statistisk analys; framtida vattenförings analys;

    Sammanfattning : Climate models are essential for generating future climate projections. However, due to simplifications, the models can produce systematic differences between output and reality, which is referred to as model bias. Bias adjustment methods aim to reduce this error, which is important for making future projections more reliable. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Prospects for a Free Electron Laser at the FemtoMAX Beamline

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :Johan Holmberg; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Free Electron Lasers; FEL; synchrotron radiation; MAX IV; FemtoMAX; GENESIS 1.3; XFEL; X-rays; soft X-rays; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : A Free Electron Laser (FEL), is a device that generates extremely coherent and brilliant radiation using electrons accelerated to relativistic velocities in a particle accelerator. The process utilises similar equipment to what is used at a synchrotron source like MAX IV, but in addition there is an interaction between the relativistic electron beam and the generated radiation to achieve an exponential growth in radiation intensity. 4. 9. Expectations and reality of sustainable stormwater management : A review of implementation of Nature-Based Solutions - A case study of Southern Stockholm

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Katarzyna Zofia Dziubanii; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Nature-based solutions; green infrastructure; ecosystem services; planning process; spatial planning; urban planning; stormwater management; sustainability; climate change mitigation; Naturbaserade lösningar; grön infrastruktur; ekosystemtjänster; planeringsprocess; fysisk planering; stadsplanering; dagvattenhantering; hållbarhet; klimatförändringar;

    Sammanfattning : The shrinking of permeable areas in favour of urban development is a phenomenon described in both scientific literature and policy documents. Changes in rainfall intensity and frequency following climate change are expected, but predicting the exact magnitude of these changes remains unclear. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Modellering av extern fosforbelastning till Vombsjön : En studie med hydrologiska modellen Soil and Water Assessment Tool, SWAT+

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå,

    Författare :Johanna Jönsson; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Phosphorus; Eutrophication; Agriculture; Hydrological Model; Soil and Water Assessment Tool; Fosfor; övergödning; jordbruk; hydrologisk modell; Soil and Water Assessment Tool;

    Sammanfattning : Vombsjön är en av de viktigaste dricksvattentäkterna i södra Skåne som förser bland annat Malmö och delar av Lund med dricksvatten. Sjön lider av övergödning och återkommande algblomningar som komplicerar dricksvattenproduktionen. LÄS MER
