  1. 1. Silver Mineralogy and Modes of Occurrence at the Silver Hart Deposit, South East Yukon.

    Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för samhällsbyggnad och naturresurser

    Författare :Michael Ives-Ruyter; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Canada; Yukon; silver; lead; zinc; galena; sulfosalt; sulfur isotope;

    Sammanfattning : The Silver Hart property is a high grade silver-lead-zinc deposit consisting of polymetallic vein style, manto (carbonate replacement) style, and skarn type mineralization. Host rock consists of calcareous and non-calcareous sediments of the Cassiar Platform, mainly biotite schists, limestone units, and the monzogranite unit of the Cassiar Batholith. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Electrolytic Reduction of Iron Oxides in Molten Salt with a Mineralogical Investigation of Magnetite Ore of Tapuli

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för samhällsbyggnad och naturresurser

    Författare :Elina Fernö; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Iron reduction; trace element analysis on magnetite ore; molten salt electrolysis; sodium hydroxide electrolyte; NaOH; greenhouse gas; carbon dioxide; CO2; green ironmaking; Järnreduktion; spårelementanalys på magnetitmalm; smältelektrolys; elektrolys i natriumhydroxid; NaOH; elektrolyt; växthusgas; koldioxid; CO2; grön järnframställning;

    Sammanfattning : This master's thesis covers an investigation of the reduction behavior of different iron oxides when electrolytically reduced with molten salt electrolysis (MSE). The tested iron oxides were wüstite (FeO), hematite (Fe2O3), magnetite (Fe3O4) and magnetite ore concentrate from the Tapuli deposit in Pajala, Norrbotten, Sweden. LÄS MER

  3. 3. A Petrographic and Paragenetic Characterization of the Ertelien Ni-Cu Deposit (Norway)

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Alena Niarezka; [2023]

    Sammanfattning : The escalating demand for metals driven by advancements in renewable energy technologies and hightech products has underscored the significance of understanding and characterizing ore deposits. This study focuses on the Ertelien Ni-Cu deposit in Norway, a region rich in nickel, cobalt, and copper resources—essential components for the transition to a sustainable energy future. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Character and Evolution of Ore Mineralisation in the Te-Rich Enåsen Au-Cu Deposit, Central Sweden

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Simon Pieslinger; [2023]
    Nyckelord :ore geology; partial melting; quenching textures; symplectite; tellurides; critical metals;

    Sammanfattning : The Enåsen gold deposit is located in Gävleborg county in central Sweden. Mining operations at Enåsen took place from 1984 to 1991 with Au as the main target for exploitation. The deposit has been interpreted as a metamorphosed Palaeoproterozoic analogue to near-recent epithermal Au mineralisations of a high sulphidation type. LÄS MER

  5. 5. EBSD Investigation of High-Temperature Magnetite from Apatite-Iron-Oxide Deposits: Implications for the Formation of Giant Kiruna-Type Deposits

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Mineralogi, petrologi och tektonik

    Författare :Jens Henriksson; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Kiruna-type deposit; electron backscattered diffraction; crystal settling; Fe-O systematics; crystal alignment;

    Sammanfattning : European iron production is to a large extent dependant on massive Kiruna type apatite-iron ore deposits. In this contribution, high-temperature magnetite samples from apatite-iron-oxide deposits are investigated by means of Electron Backscattered Diffraction. However, the origin of Kiruna-type deposits is still unresolved. LÄS MER
